To our Fort Drum and surrounding communities,
On 9 August 2019 the Board of Directors of the Fort Drum Thrift Shop elected to temporarily suspend the Thrift Shop Community Grant Program. This action was taken after careful consideration of multiple updates to operating and financial policies contained within the Thrift Shop Constitution and Standard Operating Procedures document. These amended policies strengthen existing fiscal accountability measures and provide alignment with the Thrift Shop's overall mission. All proposed amendments to the Thrift Shop governing documents were approved by the Board and are now pending a final legal review.

An exact time frame for reauthorizing the Community Grant Program is not immediately available. The Board has requested a formal review of the Community Grant Account be completed while awaiting approval for the proposed policy amendments. Until both actions are completed no Community Grants will be approved by the Board.
The Board of Directors appreciates the support of our community partners as steps are taken to strengthen and protect the Community Grant Program.
Questions regarding the Board's decision or amendments made to the Community Grant Program may be directed to Vice Chairman at fdtsvicechairman@gmail.com.

Primary consideration is given to Fort Drum agencies, Fort Drum organizations

The Board of Directors of the Fort Drum Thrift Shop oversees the dispersing of funds and is the final authority.
